Are you living in the past, worried about past failures and suffering? Do you dwell on things that you've done in your life before you became a Christian? These things are not important now that you are a Christian. This is why you have chosen a life with God in the first place. To accept his love and to live in the Kingdom of God. Jesus said. Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. (KJV) Jesus replied, "I asssure you, unless you are born again," you can never see the Kingdom of God. (NLV). God wants us to leave our past lives behind. He wants us to live in his Kingdom with him.
Once we accepted God in our life. We are giving up what is in the past and are given the chance for a new life. If we are to understand God's word and what his promise is to us. Then why are we looking back? Why are we worried about past relationships, jobs and wordly things. Look at what it says in Luke 9:62, it does not tell us to look back. Instead it says that if we do look back we are not fit for the Kingdom of God. God knows all that we have done. And he knows all that we are going to do. He knows how to reward us for our good works in life. Are you still thinking about the past? STOP!
Pressing toward the Goal. Phillippians 3:13-14, No, dear brothers and sisters, I am focusing all my energies on this one thing; Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead. I strain to reach to the end of the race and receive the prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us up to heaven. No God does not want us to keep looking back and dwelling on our old lives. Remember Lots wife Luke 17:32 These things do not please God. Remember living in the past is not what God wants us to do. Pray to the Father and ask him to give you strength if you are struggling with this in your life.
Our Father which art in Heaven. Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory. for ever. Amen.
Thank you for receiving the word of the holy Bible. Next I will discuss bringing evil into your life and home. God Bless You!
