I'm so Thankful

This morning I had a recommedation from one of my children and I was able to help out a elderly gentlemen. I was so happy for the job. I think I flew out my house and I was at his side in just a few minutes. He asked me all the questions about what I did. "I hear you drive a bus" he said. "Yea, I have my CDL's but I don't drive right now, I've been ill for awhile, but I'm better now" I told him. I then added  "I'm certified in nursing."  And he seemed please with my resume'. We continued on to his destination to take care of  his errands. It really didn't matter to me, I was so happy to be getting out of the house. I was willing to drive him anywhere he wanted to go.


At one point, we had been waiting to be seen for an appointment and he asked me if I would help him to get up from his chair. I said, "No problem, that's what I'm here for". On the way home we chatted about his needing assistance on a daily basis. My son spoke up and said "My Mom cares about people that's what she does."  I was so thankful to hear that come from him and to know he appreciates what I do. He gave me praise for all that he sees me do. I'm thankful that God gave him that insight and that is God working through him. Tomorrow I will be assisting the gentlemen again. It's not anything permanent but it's a blessing because it's what I do. And I'm thankful God Blessed me with it.
