Don't let the devil take you away from God. Sometimes we are happy with what is going on in our life. We may have had some good news or just spent time with a friend. Whatever the situation may be, we are feeling pretty good. Then someone comes and give you grief. That person may even say to you "What are you so happy about"? You may be taken aback or you may be used to this persons ignorance. You and I know, its only the devil trying to take your heart away from God. ( Luke 8:12, Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved.)
He may be in your house waiting for you to get home, so that he can ruin your happiness. Sometime we have unbelievers living with us and it's a constant battle between you and them. I know this all to well and I grew up in a household, were my mom was a believer and my father was not. I know how wicked the devil can be in our lives. God rewards those who seek him diligently. (Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.) In our lives we have to make choices about our circumstances. We have to decide how to live with people who are unbelievers.
God really cares about us and we have to be faithful in our love for him. (James 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you). Amen.
